A man who was wanted in North Carolina for making bomb threats and possessing obscene materials was captured in Florida on Friday.
Levy County Sheriff’s Detectives, along with the United States Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force, apprehended 53-year-old Charles A. Parris in Williston late Friday afternoon.
Parris had fled from North Carolina, where authorities were searching for him due to a series of bomb threats made against Lowe’s and Walmart stores. He also had outstanding warrants related to possession of obscene materials following a separate investigation in North Carolina.
Parris has been arrested and transferred to the Levy County Detention Center. He remains in custody without bond until he is extradited to North Carolina.
