According to the authorities, officers from the NYPD’s 52nd Precinct in the Bronx attempted to stop a driver who was just 19 years old at around 1:30 a.m. on June 9. However, the young driver decided to flee from the scene.
According to reports, the driver abandoned the vehicle after it malfunctioned and quickly fled the scene.
According to the NYPD, he fell through a gap in the elevated parkway and landed on Riverside Drive while running along the Henry Hudson Parkway towards the southbound upper level of the GWB.
The teenager was rushed to NYC Health Harlem Hospital by EMS, but unfortunately, he was pronounced dead upon arrival. The authorities have not yet released his name to the public.
