Weather Alert: Missouri to See 2-4 Inches of Snow on Saturday

Missouri Weekend Weather; 2-4 Inches of Snow Possible Saturday

St. Louis, MO – Snow is expected to move through the St. Louis area on Saturday, potentially impacting weekend travel plans. Most locations will likely see light snow accumulation of less than an inch, but a narrow band of heavier snow could bring totals of 2 to 4 inches.

The National Weather Service (NWS) predicts snowfall will start Saturday morning and continue throughout the day, mainly affecting areas north of the Ozarks. The heaviest snowfall will likely occur in a localized area, though the exact location is still uncertain. Travelers along I-70 and I-55 should exercise caution as slick roads and bridges are expected.

Saturday’s high will be around 34°F, with temperatures quickly dropping in the evening, increasing the likelihood of icy conditions. Winds will be light, but reduced visibility during snowfall may create additional hazards for drivers.

For those venturing out on Black Friday or preparing for holiday activities this weekend, sunny weather is forecast for Friday with a high of 38°F. However, temperatures will dip to 26°F Friday night, setting the stage for snow as moisture arrives Saturday morning.

Sunday will bring clearer skies with a high of 32°F, though overnight lows will plummet to 19°F. Monday and Tuesday will remain dry, with highs in the mid-30s.

Residents are advised to monitor NWS updates and check weather.gov for the latest forecasts for their area. Travelers should carry an emergency kit and allow extra time for their trips.
