A man was struck and killed by a Brooklyn No. 3 train on Friday, causing huge delays during rush hour, according to police and MTA authorities.
The 38-year-old victim leaped in front of the southbound train as it approached the Sutter Ave.-Rutland Rd. station near E. 98th St. in Brownsville around 7:45 a.m., according to police.
The guy died on the scene, prompting the MTA to restrict No. 3 and No. 4 train service between the Crown Heights-Utica Ave. and New Lots Ave. stops.
Commuters were asked to board buses to major Brooklyn transport hubs while the NYPD conducted its investigation.
