A man accused of kidnapping a woman at a casino in Newcastle last month is now facing charges filed by the Oklahoma County District Attorney’s Office.
According to court documents, the incident occurred at the Newcastle Casino on November 25. The victim reported to the police that Kevin Martin, after she got into his vehicle, refused to let her leave.
During the incident, she informed the police that Martin had forcefully seized her purse and proceeded to rummage through its contents. In the process, he retrieved a knife from inside the purse and concealed it beneath his seat.
“It’s just scary,” expressed Lynell Fisbeck, a neighbor, referring to the shady individuals in our vicinity.
According to her, she interpreted his statement as a sign that he intended to coerce her into becoming a prostitute without her consent, and that he would keep all the money for himself.
According to Fisbeck, the experience should be frightening and have a profound impact on her perspective.
According to court documents, after gaining entry into her residence, the victim promptly informed a friend about the incident. Concerned for her safety, the friend immediately contacted the authorities, who came to her aid and assisted her in escaping from her captor.
Martin had previously been arrested for domestic abuse by strangulation, and there was also a pending case against him for human trafficking in Oklahoma County.
According to Fisbeck, the individual in question lacks empathy and doesn’t care about others’ opinions. Fisbeck believes that attempting to reason with such individuals is futile, as they will continue to act according to their own desires.
