On March 16, 2024, the Macomb Police Department has made public the body camera footage of the shooting incident involving Terrell Miller, a 4-year-old boy.
No criminal charges have been filed against the officer who was involved in the shooting.
Lieutenant Nick Goc and Officer Korri Cameron were dispatched to investigate a case of domestic violence on March 16th, 2024. Unfortunately, the situation escalated, and deadly force had to be used, resulting in the death of two individuals at the scene.
In accordance with the regulations of the Macomb Police Department, the Illinois State Police (ISP) was assigned to conduct an investigation. The responding officers were promptly put on administrative leave while the ISP and the internal MPD investigations were underway.
Following the completion of the Illinois State Police investigation and review by McDonough County State’s Attorney, the Macomb Police Department is now able to make public the Body Worn Camera (BWC) footage concerning the officer-involved shooting that took place on March 16, 2024.
