Law enforcement reacts to shooting incident occurring at identical location for the second instance within a span of 3 days.

On Monday night, a shooting incident occurred on the northwest side of Indianapolis, resulting in an injury to a man.

Indianapolis Metropolitan police reported that the incident occurred at approximately 10:30 p.m. on Monday at the Covered Bridge apartment complex located in the 6600 block of Covered Bridge Trace.

Upon entering the apartment, authorities discovered an individual who had sustained a gunshot wound. The injured man was promptly transported to a nearby medical facility for treatment.

According to the police, witnesses are providing their cooperation with the investigation, and they have stated that the shooting was deliberate. Investigators suspect that an altercation or argument may have occurred before the violent incident took place.

The scene was attended by aggravated assault detectives. A reported shooting on Saturday night at the same address had been responded to by IMPD.

The investigations into the incidents are still ongoing.
