Kohl’s plans to decrease the number of stores it operates in 2025, following in the footsteps of other retailers.
Macy’s recently made an announcement regarding the closure of 66 stores, one of which is the Macy’s Backstage outlet located in the Essex Green Shopping Center on West Prospect Avenue in East Orange, New Jersey.
Kohl’s recently made the decision to close down 27 stores in the coming months.
Stores closing in New Jersey and Pennsylvania
Kohl’s is set to close one store in New Jersey and another in Pennsylvania, as reported by axios.com.
Kohl’s operates a total of 38 stores in New Jersey, with various locations such as Mays Landing, Millville, and Manahawkin.
Kohl’s store in East Windsor, New Jersey is the only one that is set to close. Similarly, the Pottstown store in Pennsylvania is also scheduled for closure.
California will have the highest number of Kohl’s store closures, with ten locations shutting down.
Kohl’s is making this move for financial reasons, as reported by axios.com. The company aims to avoid the same fate that many retailers have faced – bankruptcy.
