A Kentucky man faces arson charges after an investigation conducted by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation in Springville.
During an investigation, agents from the TBI and deputies from the Henry County Sheriff’s department collaborated and successfully apprehended and charged a man from Morgantown, Kentucky in connection with an arson case.
Law enforcement officials initiated an investigation into a house fire that occurred on July 22, and destroyed a residence located on Nordan Drive in Springville. During the inquiry, Forrest John Johnson emerged as a potential suspect. Subsequently, agents concluded that Johnson was indeed responsible for starting the fire.
The TBI arrested him on July 23 in Kentucky on charges of arson. He was later extradited to Tennessee on July 25 and is currently being held at the Henry County Jail on a bond of $250,000.
