Kentucky law sets ‘bus behavior’ standards, gives drivers right to refuse rides

Kentucky has established standards for acceptable behavior on buses and grants drivers the right to refuse rides.

Kentucky has recently implemented a new law that establishes a uniform standard for appropriate conduct on school buses across the state.

According to the law, any complaint lodged by a driver must be investigated within a week of its filing. Furthermore, the law grants the driver the right to decline transportation services to a student while the investigation is ongoing.

If parents threaten a driver, they could also face consequences.

Before the commencement of the school year, both the students and their guardians will have to endorse the guidelines through their signatures.
