Houston police are investigating an incident that closed a section of I-10 Katy Freeway on Wednesday morning, following reports of a man jumping from an overpass near downtown. The incident occurred around 7:35 a.m. on the westbound lanes of I-10 at I-45 North.
Witnesses reported that the man jumped from the overpass, tragically landing on a vehicle below. The Houston Police Department confirmed that the man did not survive. All westbound lanes at Hogan Street were temporarily shut down, but they reopened by 9:45 a.m.
Authorities are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
