Indiana woman accused of poisonings may face life without parole

A woman, who faced multiple charges last year including the murder of her father-in-law, was recently charged with two counts of attempted murder. Prosecutors have now requested a sentence of life imprisonment without parole.

In court documents, it is revealed that Jones and her mother had a conversation via text messages regarding the acquisition of toxic pong pong seeds, hemlock plants, and ethylene glycol, a poisonous chemical commonly found in antifreeze.

According to the authorities, the two individuals allegedly made brownies using pong pong seeds, prepared chili using the hemlock plant, and mixed ethylene glycol into a drink.

In December 2022, text messages revealed that the pair expressed their frustration over the ineffectiveness of the poisoning.
