Indiana police find 5-year-old boy who had been missing since 2022 in a residence

On Tuesday, a missing boy who was reported lost almost two years ago was discovered safe in an Indiana residence.

On July 18, 2022, the Mooresville Police Department received a report of a missing 3-year-old boy named Steven Bryan from his father. The boy was suspected to be in the company of his mother, Deborah Bryan, and her partner, Caleb Blevins.

On Tuesday afternoon at approximately 1 p.m., the Indiana State Police discovered the young boy, along with his mother and Blevins, at a residence in Bloomington.

Pending further investigation, the Department of Child Services will take custody of the child who has been placed in protective custody.

According to the police, Deborah Bryan got arrested for impeding a custody warrant issued by Morgan County. Furthermore, authorities have stated that they will press additional charges against anyone who aided her in this matter.

During the extensive investigation, the Mooresville Police Department expressed gratitude towards the Indiana State Police, the Indiana Intelligence Fusion Center, and the United States Marshals for their invaluable assistance.
