IMPD Arrests 4 Following Robbery Spree at Dollar Tree, Dairy Queen, and Gas Stations

Four people were taken into custody on Thursday for their alleged involvement in a string of armed robberies in Indianapolis. The arrests were made by officers who had been investigating the crimes.

Several males were apprehended by the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.

IMPD reported that an armed robbery took place at a Dollar Tree located at 3502 E Washington St. Two males entered the establishment, brandishing a firearm, and demanded the contents of the cash register from the employees. The employees, fearing for their safety, complied with the robbers’ demands and handed over the cash drawer.

After the crime, the suspects fled the scene in a small silver sedan that was already waiting for them outside. The officers were quick to recognize the vehicle as the same one that was used in a robbery of Food Corner Pantry on July 13th, which took place at 3139 Kentucky Avenue. The detectives were able to locate the car just a short distance from where the theft occurred.

During the traffic stop, IMPD and SWAT apprehended the vehicle where the juvenile allegedly tried to escape but was promptly caught. Collins, Beecher, and Majors were all arrested and taken into custody.

A search warrant was granted to officials for the vehicle, and a discovery of three firearms, stolen clothing, and money from the Dollar Tree was made. The items found in the car were connected to five other robberies.

As per the court records, there are five more robberies that have been added, which are:

On June 4th, an armed robbery took place at the GoLo gas station located at 2040 E Washington St.

On June 27, an armed robbery took place at the Speedway gas station located at 8202 Allisonville Rd.

On July 8, 2024, an armed robbery took place at the Dairy Queen situated at 3906 E 10th St.

On July 9, an armed robbery occurred at the Shell gas station situated at 3801 E New York St.

On July 13, 2024, the Food Corner Pantry situated at 3139 Kentucky Ave fell victim to an armed robbery.

During the investigation, the detectives had a chance to interview the four suspects, who eventually confessed to their involvement in the series of robberies. Interestingly, witnesses revealed that the suspects frequently robbed the businesses without covering their faces.
