Houston Police Renew Plea for Tips in Maurice White’s 2022 Third Ward Murder

Police in Houston’s Third Ward are renewing their call for information, two years after Maurice White was shot and killed.

A man was discovered dead inside a vehicle that had been peppered with bullets in the Third Ward area, according to the Houston Police Department.

Crime Stoppers of Houston and the Houston Police Department have come together to hold a press conference, urging the public to provide any information that could help solve the murder that took place in 2022.

What happened?

Maurice White, 29, was fatally shot on May 20, 2022, around 10:50 a.m. in Houston’s Third Ward, specifically in the 3400 block of Tuam Street.

HPD reports that White was shot multiple times by two suspects who got out of a white Ford F-250 Crew Cab.

White tragically lost his life due to his injuries at the scene.

The crime suspects escaped from the location in a white truck. The investigators have yet to determine the motive behind the crime.
