Houston Murder Suspect Arrested After Two Years on the Run

Kyle Andrew Coolack, 39, was apprehended on Sunday morning in Pomeroy, Iowa, following over two years of evading capture as a suspect in the murder of his younger brother, Brad Coolack. The tragic incident took place in March of 2022.

KCCI states that Coolack had been residing in a residence in Pomeroy before the homeowners decided to contact the authorities and evict him. The homeowners revealed that Coolack had confessed to them that he was fleeing from the law after committing fratricide.

Shortly after the homeowners lodged their complaint, a Calhoun County police deputy apprehended him. Initially, Coolack provided a fake identity to the authorities but eventually confessed his true identity.

Coolack has been wanted for murder by the Houston Police Department since July 2022. He is currently being held in Carroll County Jail and will soon be extradited to Texas.
