Houston Crime: Third Suspect Charged in Fatal Shooting of 75-Year-Old Man

Darius Limar Sonnier, 25, was taken into custody on Wednesday and is now facing charges of capital murder for the shooting incident that occurred on Blackhawk Boulevard at 9828.

Years after the alleged involvement of Johntiz Robertson, 23, and Reginald Hawkins, 22, in Le’s death, another suspect, Sonnier, has been arrested and charged with capital murder.

According to the Houston police report, two suspects approached Le as he exited his car on January 20, 2018, in a grocery store parking lot. Following an altercation, he was shot multiple times, and the suspects fled the scene in a gold-colored sedan.

Le was rushed to a nearby hospital, where medical professionals later declared him deceased.

On Wednesday, Sonnier, the third suspect, was identified and is currently in federal custody for an unrelated incident. He has been charged for his alleged involvement in the 2018 murder.

Authorities are currently conducting an ongoing investigation to locate an extra suspect who remains unidentified and was also involved in the shooting incident.
