Honoring the Memory of Kaygan: “Our beautiful little girl is now singing with the angels”

A brave little girl from Southeast Texas, who touched the hearts of many, has sadly lost her life following a valiant fight against cancer.

12-year-old Kaygan Blanchette passed away on Saturday afternoon at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston.

Just weeks ago, KFDM featured a story about Kaygan and her family.

According to KFDM, the family of the victim expresses their gratitude to the community for the immense support they have received during this difficult time. They also humbly request everyone’s prayers as they navigate through the grieving process.

We will be informed about the funeral arrangements once they are finalized.

A GoFundMe campaign has been set up to support Kaygan’s family by covering their medical and other expenses.

A Facebook post written by Kaygan’s aunt, Whitney Witzleben, reads as follows:

I raise my hands in surrender and offer my praise to you repeatedly. Because all I can offer is a heartfelt hallelujah.

My heart sings hallelujah, a humble offering for a majestic King. Though it may seem insignificant, it is all I have to give. Hallelujah, hallelujah.

Our beloved girl is now singing with the angels in heaven! She is free from pain and at peace, her radiant smile and sparkling eyes restored. She showed immense strength in her battle, but her tiny body grew exhausted.

This is going to be an extremely challenging period for our family. If you’re familiar with us, you’ll know that the “Forfam05” is an exceptionally tight-knit unit. Today, we are coming together as a family to grieve and support one another. We kindly ask for some space and time as we navigate through this difficult time. We appreciate your understanding and consideration. Visitors are welcome to come at a later date.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all those who have supported us over the past few months. The overwhelming display of love for this young girl has been truly amazing. We want you to know that every kind word has been read and deeply appreciated.
