A man, who is already in prison on a capital murder charge for his grandmother’s death, is now facing additional charges. He is accused of killing his cellmate at the Harris County Jail.
Chad Maydwell is said to have fatally attacked Michael Griego, an inmate who was incarcerated for assaulting a family member, on November 12, 2022.
A man accused of killing his 80-year-old grandmother in NW Harris County has been given a $1M bond, according to documents.
Griego, who was in jail awaiting trial, sadly lost his life as a result of the assault.
In April 2022, Maydwell was already in jail, facing capital murder charges for the brutal killing of his grandmother, 80-year-old Judith Ellen Maydwell.
Maydwell had a lengthy criminal history dating back to 2009, which included charges of criminal trespassing, assault, and resisting arrest. At the time of his grandmother’s murder, he was out on bond for indecent exposure.
