The constable’s office announced that Kohler passed away on Thursday.

“Her name, her life, absolutely deserves to be remembered for her commitment to our profession,” the constable’s office said.

On Wednesday, Kohler was reported missing, prompting a Clear Alert to be issued. She was last spotted around 2 p.m. that day in the 7000 block of Santa Fe Drive in Houston.

At this time, details about when and where she was found, as well as the circumstances of her death, remain unclear. However, the Clear Alert was canceled early Friday morning.
