On January 24, 2025, around 5:15 p.m., deputies from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office District 2 Patrol responded to a complaint of a robbery in progress at the Wendy’s restaurant on Sawdust Road in Spring. Deputies responded quickly to the location and caught the perpetrator, who was still committing the heist.
We apprehended the suspect, Nicholas Xavier Rivas, and took him to the Montgomery County Jail. Authorities have charged Rivas, a proven gang member from Houston, Texas, with felony robbery. A $75,000 bond is currently holding him in jail.
The deputies’ swift actions demonstrate the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office’s dedication to combating violent crime. The police made it clear that Montgomery County will not tolerate illegal activities, particularly those by gang members. Police will arrest, punish, and hold responsible those who engage in such acts.
