Friendswood police arrest three for organized criminal activity, including one juvenile.

Friendswood, Texas — Two adults and one juvenile have been arrested by Friendswood police for their involvement in a series of thefts from local businesses.

Responding to a theft in progress at Walgreens on June 26, 2024, at 1:18 PM, officers were alerted by an employee who witnessed a mother-and-daughter team committing theft. This incident marked the second such occurrence at this location in recent months. Upon arrival, officers intercepted the suspects as they exited the store and entered a white Chevrolet sedan.

During a search of the vehicle, officers discovered a significant amount of stolen merchandise, linking the group to two additional thefts within the past 24 hours, one at a CVS and another at a Walgreens in League City. In Friendswood, the stolen goods amounted to over $500 worth of beauty products, while in League City, the combined losses from the thefts exceeded $1,500.

Arrested were Tracy Hernandez-Ponce, 49, and Kenneth Leslie Warren, 67, both residents of Houston. Hernandez-Ponce faces charges of Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity, while Warren, whose bond is set at $20,000, faces the same charge. Additionally, a 13-year-old juvenile from Houston was also arrested and charged with Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity.
