A Florida man has won a $2 million top prize in the Florida Lottery’s PAYDAY BONUS Scratch-Off game. Zakaria Beneddi, 33, of Panama City, got his winnings as a one-time lump-sum payment of $1,370,000.00 from the Lottery’s Pensacola District Office.
The winning ticket was purchased at Lagoon Mart, 7807 N. Lagoon Drive, Panama City Beach. The retailer will get an additional $4,000 commission for selling the lucky ticket.
The PAYDAY BONUS Scratch-Off game, which costs $10, gives players the opportunity to win over $132 million in cash prizes, including eight top rewards of $2 million. The game’s total odds of winning are 1 in 4.40.
Scratch-off games account for roughly 74% of the Florida Lottery’s ticket sales in the fiscal year 2023-2024.
Since their establishment, these games have paid out over $65.5 billion in prizes, created 2,283 billionaires, and raised more than $19.80 billion for Florida’s Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF).
