A few miles outside the Katy area, around 11 a.m., the first possible tornado sighting was captured.
The Cy-Fair Fire Department took to social media to share reports of tornadic activity in the vicinity of Hockley and the Bridgeland areas.
The Montgomery County Emergency Office swiftly took action when a funnel was sighted near Porter Heights close to Highway 242.
