Already, strong storms are forming along the Canadian border, just below severe thresholds. On Monday, the likelihood of severe weather increases to 90%, and it may persist through Tuesday or even Wednesday, bringing high winds and large hail.
On Sunday night, there is a 30% likelihood of severe thunderstorms, particularly from 3 pm to 11 pm in Minnesota, and it may last a bit longer in Wisconsin and Michigan. The temperature is expected to drop to the mid-50s, with the wind blowing at 5-15 mph from the northwest.

On Tuesday, brace yourself for another round of strong storms as temperatures continue to rise. Expect a morning low of 53, with the possibility of hitting an afternoon high of 82 degrees, even near lakeside locations. Inland areas will be even warmer. Keep in mind that the wind will be blowing from the south at 10-20 mph. Rainfall could exceed half an inch on Tuesday.
THIS WEEK’S FORECAST: Brace yourself for heavy rainfall as a storm threat looms from Sunday to Wednesday, with some areas possibly receiving up to three inches of rain. Flash flooding is a real possibility and should be taken seriously. Conditions will ease up by Thursday, but rain and shower chances will persist, along with possible storms, until next Saturday. During this period, expect temperatures to fall within the range of 70-78 degrees.
