An officer-involved shooting occurred in Midtown St. Louis following a police pursuit of a vehicle involved in multiple break-ins. After locating the vehicle, which eventually crashed, four suspects fled on foot. During the pursuit, two detectives ordered a 25-year-old armed suspect to drop his weapon.
However, he was shot in the hip and subsequently hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. Meanwhile, the remaining three suspects were apprehended, and law enforcement confiscated three guns from the stolen car. In light of these events, the police urge the public to secure their vehicles and conceal valuable items, particularly during the holiday season, to minimize the risk of theft.
