Ex-Convict Accused of Murdering 22-Year-Old Woman After Multiple Releases on Low Bonds

Cerdarian Thompson’s criminal past shows he likes firearms and violence. Even yet, 232nd Criminal Court Judge Josh Hill gave Thompson a break after a break.

Thompson was sentenced to eight years in prison in 2012 for violent southeast-side home invasions.

“He assaulted residents. He assaulted women. “He boldly put a gun to their heads,” said Crime Stoppers’ Andy Kahan.

After pleading guilty to felon in possession of a weapon, Judge Hill sentences Thompson to deferred probation in March 2022.

“Within three months, he gets charged again with more violent felonies,” he said. “Another aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, which he’s alleged to have shot the victim as well.”

Judge Josh Hill set bond at $70,000 instead of revoking Thompson’s probation and sending him back to prison.

“He gets out on a really paltry minuscule bond, considering his violent history,” he remarked.

Judge Hill’s release of Thompson may have killed 22-year-old Keambra Bibbs.

Court filings show she knew Thompson.

Police claim Thompson shot Keambra numerous times and left her body in a Medical Center business parking garage on September 4.

Thompson reportedly sought to please Judge Josh Hill.

His court appearance was September 17, 13 days after he allegedly murdered Keambra.

On Oct. 31, Thompson was charged with murder. He surrendered Tuesday.

“This was a tragedy. But so very preventable, because you had him multiple times, but we continue to put him back out,” he added. “Now, we have a young lady dead.”
