DWI charge filed against Texas man involved in a fatal collision with a pedestrian

A man from Texas is facing charges of driving while intoxicated after a fatal accident on Saturday. According to Louisiana State Police, a man from Lake Charles was attempting to cross I-10 when he was struck and killed. The incident took place late at night and has resulted in serious consequences. The authorities have charged the driver with the offense of driving while intoxicated.

According to State police, a tragic accident resulted in the death of 31-year-old Daniel Courville. Courville was trying to cross I-10 West around 9 p.m. after his vehicle had entered the median.

According to state police, a vehicle-pedestrian collision occurred when Juan Camacho, a 45-year-old Texas resident, was driving his 2004 GMC Sierra west on I-10.

Police reported that Courville passed away at the crash site, while Camacho remained unharmed.

According to state police, Camacho was found to be impaired and subsequently arrested for first-offense driving while intoxicated. Both Camacho and Courville provided a standard toxicology sample for analysis.

Authorities are still investigating the cause of the accident.
