On December 19, 2024, Precinct 8 Deputy Lozano from Harris County Constable Phil Sandlin’s Office stopped a vehicle in the 11200 block of the Gulf Freeway for several traffic violations. When deputies approached the driver, 40-year-old Nicholas Jerome Harris, they detected the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle.
A deeper investigation revealed Harris was in possession of a significant amount of U.S. currency. A probable cause search of the car led to the discovery of 8.5 ounces of marijuana, 18 grams of mushrooms, 18 grams of crack cocaine, 8.5 grams of methamphetamine, 10.24 grams of powder cocaine, various pressed pills, and drug paraphernalia.
Harris now faces two felony charges for Possession with Intent to Deliver. The Harris County District Attorney’s Office accepted the charges, and Harris was transported to the Harris County Joint Processing Center. His bond was set at $30,000.
