Travis Renner, the father of two teenagers involved in a series of East Valley teen violence incidents, has had drug charges against him dismissed.
Drug charges against the father of two teenagers involved in a series of East Valley teen violence incidents are being dismissed in Phoenix.
According to court records, Travis Renner was subject to arrest in January after Gilbert Police discovered psychedelic mushrooms in his bedroom during a search.
In a recent development, the court has temporarily suspended Travis’ charges. However, the court has ordered him to successfully complete a two-year drug and counseling program in order to receive this suspension.
Travis, as mentioned earlier, is the father of two teenagers who have been accused of being involved in several incidents of teen violence in the East Valley.
Talan Renner is one of the seven suspects who have been charged in the murder of Preston Lord. Lord was attacked at a Halloween party in 2023 and tragically passed away due to the injuries he sustained.
The murder trial of Lord is scheduled to commence in July 2025, with Talan facing charges as an adult. In October, Talan was granted release on bond after a judge decided to reduce his bail to $500,000.
A 19-year-old teen named Kyler Renner is presently incarcerated due to his involvement in various instances of teenage violence in the East Valley. One such incident was the assault of a teenager at a parking garage in Gilbert in December 2022.
Kyler, who was also convicted of drug charges, including selling and possessing fentanyl, admitted to being a drug user in police reports. He confessed to consuming around 30 fentanyl pills daily. As a consequence, he received a two-year prison sentence.
