Deon and Karen Derrico of TLC’s ‘Doubling Down With the Derricos’ Have Divorced

Deon and Karen Derrico of TLC's 'Doubling Down With the Derricos' Have Divorced

The divorce of Deon and Karen Derrico, who were featured on TLC’s “Doubling Down With The Derricos,” has been finalized by a judge. This means that it is already official.

On June 4th, the couple initiated the divorce process, and two days later, on June 6th, the final judgment was granted. As per the judgment, the legal and physical custody of their 13 minor children was divided equally between both parents.

THE DERRICO FAMILY THROUGH THE YEARS

TMZ has obtained court documents that reveal Deon will be paying $1,166 per month in child support, while Karen will not be responsible for any child support. Instead, she will be taking on the responsibility of providing medical insurance for their children.

Although Karen and her husband have separated, she has decided to keep her last name as “Derrico”, as mentioned in the initial filing. Interestingly, Karen did not request to have her maiden name restored, and the judge has approved her decision to maintain her married name in the settlement.

In recent weeks, viewers of ‘Doubling Down’ have witnessed a deterioration in the relationship between Deon and Karen. In a previous episode, the couple had a heated argument about the disorderly state of their home.

The Derricos, a family of 16, are the subject of the show as they navigate through the ups and downs of raising their 14 children. The eldest child, Darian, who is 18, is not mentioned in the recent divorce filing. Set in North Las Vegas, the show documents their unique parenting style and the challenges they face with having quintuplets, triplets, twins, and a few other pregnancies. The Derricos have been sharing their family journey on television since 2020.

BTW, Karen is not pregnant, according to the doctors, so don’t expect to see little Derrico #15 on the show anytime soon.

We contacted Karen and Deon about the divorce, but have yet to receive a response.
