On Saturday morning, a shooting occurred in Kansas City which has left one man hospitalized and in critical condition. The Kansas City Police Department is currently investigating the incident.
KCPD reported that they received a call about a shooting incident at around 5 a.m. The location was traced to the 5600 block of Scarritt Avenue in Kansas City, Missouri. The area is situated a few blocks south of Gladstone Boulevard and approximately half a mile north of Independence Avenue.
When the officers arrived at the scene, they discovered a man who had been shot and was in obvious distress. Subsequently, he was transported to a medical facility where he was listed in critical condition.
According to KCPD, the shooting is currently under investigation, and detectives are working diligently to establish the events leading up to the incident.
