Investigators from Constable Mark Herman’s Criminal Investigations Division have closed down an unlawful game room in the 13700 block of State Highway 249. The operation led to the confiscation of gaming revenues and gadgets, as well as the arrest of a firm employee.
According to a press statement from Constable Mark Herman’s office, the undercover operation uncovered roughly $2,000 in suspected gambling earnings, multiple pieces of illegal gaming equipment, and paperwork supporting unlawful gambling. Cindy Cortinas, an employee at the establishment, was detained and charged with possession of a gambling instrument, equipment, or paraphernalia. Her bond was set at $100 by County Court 12.
Constable Herman stressed the dangers posed by illicit gaming establishments, claiming they attract criminal activity that jeopardizes community safety. “If you suspect an unlawful gambling operation, please contact our dispatch at 281-376-3472 or visit www.constablepct4.com/regulatory-enforcement-unit. “All complaints or tips can be submitted anonymously,” said Constable Mark Herman.
