BJ’s Wholesale Club Expands with New Locations

BJ’s Wholesale Club is riding high after a strong first quarter, staying true to its ambitious growth plans. The company announced the locations of two new stores set to open early next year.

One store will open in Hanover Township, N.J., marking the retailer’s 25th location in the state. Another store will open in the expanding market of Southern Pines, N.C.

Like other BJ’s locations, these new clubs will feature fresh food, produce, a full-service deli, household essentials, pet supplies, home décor, apparel, tech items, and toys. They will also offer a variety of local and seasonal products. Members can take advantage of BJ’s fulfillment services, such as curbside pickup, in-store pickup, same-day delivery, and standard delivery from the website. In-store shoppers can use the ExpressPay feature on the BJ’s app to scan products as they shop.

The upcoming year looks promising for BJ’s. The retailer plans to open eight new clubs in the Southeast, Midwest, and Northeast in 2025, including its first location in Louisville, Ky. BJ’s confirmed its expansion strategy in its latest earnings report, which showed increases in membership income, traffic, and unit volume for the first fiscal quarter.
