A man from Michigan, who is under investigation for drug distribution in Colombia, has been apprehended with over 150 doses of crack cocaine.
A man named Michael Thomas, aged 31 and hailing from Muskegon, Michigan, faces charges of delivering a controlled substance and tampering with physical evidence.
According to detectives, Thomas had been frequently traveling from Michigan to Columbia in rented cars. He was apprehended in Columbia last year with over 10 grams of heroin. Thomas admitted to possessing a controlled substance and was subsequently placed on probation.
On Thursday, officers once again stopped Thomas and proceeded to conduct a thorough search of his vehicle. During the search, they discovered a cup containing chunks of a substance that, upon testing, was confirmed to be cocaine. These chunks weighed approximately 39 grams and had been deliberately soaked in water to prevent detection. Authorities estimate that this amount could potentially be used 156 times.
