The Oklahoma City Metro Area experienced a weekend full of events with several incidents occurring since Friday, including a stabbing and a fatal hit-and-run.

At present, officials are on the lookout for multiple suspects linked to the majority of these crimes, including the individual responsible for shooting a man outside of a gas station in NE Oklahoma City on Sunday morning.

In an interview with Fox 25, the victim recounted the moment when the suspect shot him in the leg and quickly fled the scene.

Rickey Franklin, who was shot in the leg on Sunday morning, expressed his fear about the incident. “It was really scary, you know what I’m saying,” he said. “I was just walking when someone came by and shot me in the leg.”

The gas station on NE 23rd Street witnessed a shooting incident on Sunday morning at around seven.

The authorities are yet to find the person responsible for the incident, but the victim reassures that he is doing alright.

Franklin responded with a nonchalant tone, “I’m alright, just some random things happened.”

A car accident resulted in a tragic death of an individual at the intersection of NE 10th St. & MLK Ave, just a few blocks away from the shooting incident that occurred hours later, as reported by the Oklahoma City Police.

No details have been disclosed yet regarding the victim or any potential suspect.

A call was made to the Newcastle Police Department on Saturday afternoon by an individual who threatened to carry out a shooting at the tri-city Walmart in Newcastle.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol, NPD, Mcclain County Sheriff, and Lighthorse Police worked together to secure the area and evacuate the store. After a thorough search, they confirmed that there was no indication of any threat.

According to the authorities, a person drowned in a hotel pool in SW OKC on Saturday. The first responders arrived at the scene promptly to attend to the adult victim. However, the victim’s condition is currently unknown.

According to police reports, an adult toy store in Edmond was hit by a vehicle on Saturday, driven by an elderly person. Luckily, no injuries were reported as a result of the accident.

Late Friday night, authorities in Oklahoma City received a distress call regarding a fatal stabbing incident that occurred in the vicinity of NE 23rd and Macarthur.

The investigation into the stabbing is being handled by homicide detectives of OKCPD. As of yet, no information regarding the victim or possible suspects has been released.

We are yet to receive additional information regarding numerous incidents that occurred over the weekend at Fox 25.
