A Centre County man was detained Tuesday in our area with a pound of meth, and he had another three pounds at home, State Police reported Thursday.
Caelan Benjamin Conrad Houk, 24, of State College, is in Schuylkill County Prison on felony narcotics charges.
According to State Police at Frackville, the arrest was the result of a collaborative investigation by the Schuylkill County Drug Task Force, State Police at Reading, and State Police at Hollidaysburg.
On Tuesday, troopers executed a search warrant on Houk’s 2009 Ford Fusion in the Frackville neighborhood, right off Interstate 81.
In the car, they discovered a pound of suspected methamphetamine worth $18,000 on the street and a loaded firearm.
He was charged with charges connected to the discoveries and confined to Schuylkill County Prison after failing to post $250,000 straight cash bail.
In Centre County, troopers, the Centre County Drug Task Force, and State College Police conducted a search warrant at Houk’s residence.
Troopers said they discovered three pounds of methamphetamine worth $54,000, another firearm, an ounce of psilocybin mushrooms, 380 ecstasy tablets, and several hundred amphetamines and anabolic steroids.
Troopers say the investigation is ongoing.
A preliminary hearing on the local charges is not yet scheduled.
