California Resident Sentenced to Prison for Sending Methamphetamine through Mail to Iowa

A man from California has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for dispatching parcels of methamphetamine to southeastern Iowa. The incident took place in Muscatine, IA.

According to the United States Department of Justice, Jose Antonio Reyes, aged 35, was involved in a conspiracy with others to send significant quantities of methamphetamine from California to Iowa between October 2020 and July 2022.

He sent out two packages, each containing a pound of meth, to be distributed in Muscatine.

On July 30th, Reyes received sentencing of 188 months in federal prison along with five years of supervised release for committing the crime of Conspiracy to Distribute 50 Grams or More of Methamphetamine and Distribution of 50 Grams or More of Methamphetamine.
