The child has been identified as Kahleb Collins by the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office and the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA).

The sheriff’s office made an announcement about the child’s disappearance on the afternoon of Monday, December 16th.

The accident claimed the lives of the child’s father, Steven Collins, aged 40, and sibling Ryleigh Collins, aged 2, while leaving the child’s mother, Wendy Bailey, injured.

Law enforcement was unable to locate Kahleb Collins, the couple’s other child.

According to investigators, it is believed that the child went missing in September, but no one reported the child as missing.
