A woman from Houston is now facing charges of intoxication manslaughter after reportedly hitting and killing a man who was in the process of changing his tire on the Katy Freeway.
According to the police, Lee Rodgers was changing a tire on his black Kia Sportage when Weber’s vehicle struck him in the early hours of May 25 close to Central Park West Blvd.
Witnesses said that a white Lexus RX350 struck Rodgers just as he finished replacing the defective tire and was putting it in his trunk.
Paramedics swiftly arrived at the scene, yet unfortunately, Rodgers was declared deceased. Weber, who stayed at the scene, allegedly displayed indications of being intoxicated.
