In Arlington Heights, a man was fatally shot at an apartment complex, and the police are currently questioning two individuals in connection with the incident.
On Sunday at 1:40 p.m., an incident took place at the Arbor Lakes Apartment Complex, located in the 4200 block of North Bloomington Avenue, just south of Bloomington and Lake Cook Roads.
An Arlington Heights Police received a report from a female resident of an apartment building who claimed that a man had been shot inside her apartment.
Upon arrival, the self-admitted shooter and the woman were met by the police outside the ground-level apartment. Subsequently, the authorities entered the apartment, where they discovered the victim in close proximity to the back door.
Authorities have reported that the victim succumbed to his wound at the scene, after being shot in the upper body. The identity of the victim has not yet been disclosed.
After delving deeper into the matter, investigators revealed that the shooting victim and the female resident had a potential relationship and that she had an Order of Protection against him.
There is no need to worry as the shooting incident has been contained and there is no threat to the safety of the public.
The investigation is still ongoing, according to the police.
