According to AZ Family, the family was touring the Grand Canyon on the day of the incident and then intended to travel to Las Vegas. A cell phone ping located their rented car approximately a mile from the crash site.
Police officials just confirmed that their rented BMW SUV with a California license plate was among the vehicles involved in the incident. They discovered it burned to a crisp, but the remains within have yet to be recognized.
Investigators report that the pile-up claimed the lives of at least two people. However, due to the destruction, the process of identifying remains necessitates rigorous investigation.
A witness claimed she saw the family at a petrol station the day before the accident and was able to dodge the giant disaster. She then saw a report about the missing family at the end of the day.
