Tom Homan outlines his strategy for carrying out large-scale deportations of undocumented immigrants during his appearance on ‘Hannity.’
The federal appeals court has ruled that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) can continue utilizing a Seattle airport for chartered deportation flights. This decision is seen as a victory for the incoming administration of President-elect Trump.
The ruling by the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals has dismissed a local executive order from 2019 that aimed to oppose the immigration policies of then-President Trump. The court concluded that King County, Washington breached its contract by prohibiting deportations at King County International Airport, commonly referred to as Boeing Field.
The court deemed the order unlawful as it discriminated against ICE and specifically targeted federal operations. Back in 2019, Trump utilized Boeing Fields for the purpose of deporting unauthorized immigrants from the United States, and the local county attempted to hinder the president’s removal operations.
ICE Arrests Migrant Accused of Violent Crimes After Massachusetts Court Refused to Honor Detainer
In a recent incident, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) successfully apprehended a migrant who had been accused of committing violent crimes. The arrest took place after a Massachusetts court refused to honor an ICE detainer.
This case highlights the challenges faced by ICE when local jurisdictions refuse to cooperate in the enforcement of immigration laws. Despite the serious nature of the accusations against the individual, the court’s refusal to honor the detainer prevented ICE from taking custody of the suspect.
The incident serves as a reminder of the importance of collaboration between local authorities and federal immigration agencies. Together, we can hold those accused of violent crimes accountable for their actions.
Jurisdictions must prioritize public safety and take into account the potential risks posed by individuals accused of serious offenses. Failure to honor ICE detainers can undermine efforts to maintain law and order, ultimately putting communities at risk.
As this case demonstrates, ICE plays a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of our communities. The agency’s ability to effectively carry out its mission depends on the cooperation and support of local jurisdictions. By working together, we can uphold the rule of law and protect our communities from individuals who pose a threat to public safety.

According to the ruling, the decision to relocate resulted in higher operational expenses as a result of the increased distance between the ICE detention facilities and the airport. Additionally, the move raised security concerns.
In 2020, King County and the U.S. engaged in a legal battle. The U.S. sued the county, claiming that it violated a World War II-era contract. This contract guarantees the federal government’s right to use the airport and accuses the county of discriminating against ICE.
Democrat Governor Vows to Utilize All Available Measures to Counter Trump-Era Deportations
In a recent ruling on Friday, November 30th, Judge Daniel A. Bress of the 9th Circuit upheld the court’s decision. Fox News Digital obtained his ruling, in which he stated that the federal government is not forcing King County officials to enforce federal immigration laws.
The ruling states that the United States is not asking directly for the prohibition to be lifted, but rather asking King County, as the owner of a public airport facility, to lift the discriminatory prohibition. This would allow private parties to engage in business with the federal government in support of federal immigration efforts.
Migrants in Texas board a bus provided by the Mission: Border Hope non-profit organization to travel to New York. Transparency regarding deportation flights is also mandated in the new order.
The airport currently provides a conference room where people can observe deportation flights through a video feed. Additionally, the county has made a log of deportation flights from the airport available on its website.
The incoming Trump administration receives a victory with this ruling. On his first day back in office, the president-elect has strongly committed to launching deportation efforts.
His commitment was solidified by his selection of “border czar,” Tom Homan.
“If you’re not willing to collaborate with us, then you better leave immediately. We’re determined to make it happen,” Homan emphasized.
Denver Mayor Mike Johnston has expressed concern over President Trump’s plans for mass migrant deportations, warning that such actions could potentially lead to a “Tiananmen Square moment.” Johnston believes that forcibly removing a large number of migrants could result in a violent clash between law enforcement and protesters, similar to the tragic events that occurred in Tiananmen Square in 1989. The mayor’s remarks highlight the potential consequences of implementing such a policy and the need for careful consideration of the human rights and safety implications involved.
Trump’s deportation efforts have sparked a strong response from blue city officials, who are voicing their opposition. Denver Mayor Mike Johnston has even gone as far as stating that he is prepared to go to jail in order to stand against Trump’s plans.
