Abbott asks Americans to protect the border and return Trump to the White House

Texas Governor Greg Abbott made a strong call to action on Wednesday night, urging Americans to secure the border by reinstating former President Donald Trump as the leader of the nation.

Governor Abbott emphasized the importance of border security and endorsed Donald J. Trump for the presidency, stating, “America needs a president who will secure our border, and as the governor of the largest border state, I believe that person is Donald J. Trump.”

According to him, the president’s primary responsibility is to safeguard our nation, which is precisely what President Trump accomplished. During Trump’s tenure, there were the fewest instances of illegal border crossings in around 40 years.

“On his first day in office, Joe Biden abandoned his responsibility and eliminated the policies put in place by President Trump. This decision has led to disastrous consequences.”

According to a report by The Center Square, over 12 million individuals have illegally entered the U.S. during Biden’s presidency. Among them, two million individuals, also known as gotaways, were successful in evading capture.

Since the arrival of President Biden, the count of individuals who have been caught while entering the United States illegally has surpassed the collective population of 44 different states and 155 countries.

According to a report by The Center Square, over 205,000 individuals illegally entered the United States last month. This brings the total number of illegal entries to over 2.4 million in fiscal 2024 through June. The northern border has also seen a record number of apprehensions.

According to Abbott, the United States has allowed rapists, murderers, and even terrorists to enter the country under Biden’s administration, and the consequences have been devastating. One such victim is Jocelyn, a 12-year-old girl from Houston who was raped and murdered by two Venezuelans. These individuals were released into the country through a parole program established by Alejandro Mayorkas, the Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security.

According to The Center Square, Mayorkas’ parole programs have been associated with violent crimes committed by released criminals against Americans across the nation.

A heartbreaking story was shared by Maryland resident Michael Morin on Tuesday night. He talked about how his sister, Rachel, was raped and strangled to death by a Salvadoran who was in the country illegally. Morin believes that his sister’s death could have been prevented. The perpetrator who killed Rachel had already killed a woman in El Salvador before entering the US unlawfully. Morin blames Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, the designated ‘border czar’, for opening the borders to such individuals, giving them the power to harm the innocent. Despite this tragedy, we have not heard any apologies from the President or the Vice President regarding the matter.

After Rachel’s death, President Trump reached out to my family and expressed his condolences. He even extended an invitation to meet with us, which demonstrated his genuine concern. This kind of compassion exemplifies true leadership, and it’s what we need in the White House.

Governor Abbott laments that President Biden is fiercely opposing Texas and other Republican states’ attempts to protect the border. Texas has filed more than 75 lawsuits against the Biden administration, with a significant number of them addressing border security concerns.

According to Abbott, he initiated Operation Lone Star, the border security mission for Texas, and deployed Texas National Guard troops to the border in 2021, which he claims was necessary since the president did not take any action. The Texas legislature has allocated nearly $12 billion to fund this mission, which is a significantly larger amount than several state fiscal year budgets and even more than what the Trump administration provided for federal border security efforts in Texas, as reported by The Center Square.

Between March 2021 and the end of June this year, OLS agents have captured approximately 515,000 individuals who illegally crossed the border and have made over 44,600 criminal arrests, with an excess of 38,900 charges for felony offenses. Additionally, they have confiscated more than 504 million lethal doses of fentanyl, a quantity that could eradicate both the U.S. and Mexico’s populations combined.

Texas had constructed hundreds of miles of razor wire to prevent illegal crossings, but the president ordered its removal and sued the state for building it. Governor Abbott responded by ordering the National Guard to build three times the amount of razor wire barriers. Currently, several border lawsuits, including those concerning the razor wire barriers, are awaiting resolution in federal court.

According to Abbott, when the president seized 50 acres of Texas border property for the illegal processing of up to 5,000 foreign nationals each day, with the intention of releasing them into the United States, he acted illegally. In response, Abbott instructed the Texas National Guard to reclaim the land and secure it with wiring, which resulted in the number of illegal border crossings decreasing to an average of one per day.

Abbott stated that when the president and the “border czar” Harris declined to visit Texas and witness the border crisis that they had caused, he decided to bring the border to them. To achieve this, he began busing illegal border crossers to Washington, D.C. and sanctuary cities across the country. He emphasized that these buses will keep moving until the border is safe and secure.

According to recent data from the governor’s office, nearly 120,000 illegal foreign nationals have been transported by bus to six cities in Texas.

According to Abbott, there is a glimmer of hope in the future. He firmly believes that Joe Biden will be ousted on November 5 and Donald Trump will reclaim his position as the President of the United States of America. Abbott is confident that Trump will take charge of the border situation and eliminate crime and disorder from our streets.
