A Virginia man faces multiple drug charges following a traffic stop in Currituck County.
Deputies said they stopped Timothy Pennington at 11:15 a.m. yesterday and discovered he did not have a driver’s license and his car had a false plate.
Deputies said that after being stopped, the 46-year-old Virginia Beach man became uncooperative and began to resist.
Deputies claim they discovered a considerable amount of drugs in the vehicle.
Pennington was charged with cocaine trafficking, possession with the intent to sell or deliver meth, possession with the intent to sell or deliver cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana paraphernalia, resisting a public officer, driving with a revoked license, displaying fictitious registration plates, no liability insurance, and operating a vehicle with a controlled substance.
The vehicle was seized, and Pennington was arrested on a $250,000 secured bond.
