According to an ABC Action News report released on March 24, 2025, a woman from Pennsylvania risks serious consequences after authorities discovered her scam through standard testing procedures.
LaTarsha Brown claimed that someone had placed a noose on her desk, endangering her career with the city and school board.
According to CBS News, Brown first reported finding the noose on her City Hall desk in January, prompting authorities to open an investigation. The noose was sent for DNA analysis, and detectives received a court order to acquire a sample of Brown’s DNA. The results apparently matched the lone DNA profile discovered on the noose.
Police detained Brown and charged him with false reporting and evidence tampering.
Her profile on the school board’s page states, “LaTarsha Brown is dedicated to working with her fellow board members to positively impact Allentown and ensure that schools provide a great experience for all students and families in the community.”
