A Home Contractor In Virginia Claims A $2.2 Million Lottery Jackpot After A Run Of Bad Luck

A Virginia contractor is smiling his way to the bank after winning almost $2 million in an online lottery game.

Brent Butler, a Woodbridge resident, told Lottery officials he was ready to give up after having little luck playing the games, but he decided to give it another shot.

Butler’s last chance at lottery luck resulted in a $2,204,371 jackpot when playing the Banker’s Bonus game using the organization’s app on his personal smartphone.

He wasn’t the only one ecstatic about the seven-figure payout.

“I can tell you my wife was more happy than me,” he said quietly.

The Virginia Lottery describes Banker’s Bonus as a Mega Money Jackpots game available in Virginia, Kentucky, and Pennsylvania. It has a progressive, rising price.

Butler was the latest winner, and the newly minted millionaire stated there are no specific plans for money other than to pay off some bills, though some days off may be in his future, as he joked that “I might not go to work today” while receiving the enormous prize.
