A drug trafficker has been sentenced to federal prison, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Texas.
Francisco Manuel Magdaleno, 41, has been found guilty of Conspiracy to Distribute and Possession with Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine. U.S. District Judge Marcia A. Crone has sentenced him to 22 years in prison.
Between February 2019 and May 2022, Magdaleno and twenty other individuals allegedly participated in the trafficking of substantial quantities of methamphetamine from Mexico to Beaumont. The authorities claim that the drugs were subsequently distributed across Texas, Louisiana, and Florida.
In addition to the charges related to human smuggling, prosecutors have also accused Magdaleno of trafficking significant quantities of cocaine.
