Around 11:30 p.m., the brothers, aged 25 and 27, were standing at the intersection of Emerson Place and Myrtle Avenue, near Pratt Institute in Clinton Hill, when two men suddenly attacked them, according to police.
The older brother sustained a knife wound to his neck, while the younger brother received a cut to his skull.
Footage from Freedoms TV shows the brothers walking down the sidewalk with backpacks. One of them has a significant amount of blood on his face and white T-shirt, while the other has a small amount of blood trickling down his face.
Another man is seen standing on the curb, seemingly ignoring the injured brothers as they pass by. A nearby woman, standing near the block’s businesses, covers her mouth in disgust at the horrific scene.
Both brothers were rushed to Brooklyn Methodist Hospital and are reported to be in stable condition.
After the incident, investigators discovered a bloody, broken glass bottle and a pair of abandoned sneakers.
No arrests have been made, and it’s still unclear why the attack occurred or if the brothers knew their assailants.
