Four people were taken into custody on Thursday for their alleged involvement in a string of armed robberies in Indianapolis. The arrests were made by officers who had been investigating the crimes.
Several males were apprehended by the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.

- and an unidentified 15-year-old boy.
IMPD reported that an armed robbery took place at a Dollar Tree located at 3502 E Washington St. Two males entered the establishment, brandishing a firearm, and demanded the contents of the cash register from the employees. The employees, fearing for their safety, complied with the robbers’ demands and handed over the cash drawer.
After the crime, the suspects fled the scene in a small silver sedan that was already waiting for them outside. The officers were quick to recognize the vehicle as the same one that was used in a robbery of Food Corner Pantry on July 13th, which took place at 3139 Kentucky Avenue. The detectives were able to locate the car just a short distance from where the theft occurred.
During the traffic stop, IMPD and SWAT apprehended the vehicle where the juvenile allegedly tried to escape but was promptly caught. Collins, Beecher, and Majors were all arrested and taken into custody.
A search warrant was granted to officials for the vehicle, and a discovery of three firearms, stolen clothing, and money from the Dollar Tree was made. The items found in the car were connected to five other robberies.

On June 4th, an armed robbery took place at the GoLo gas station located at 2040 E Washington St.

- Officers were dispatched on June 4 at approximately 5:17 a.m. to 2040 E. Washington St. to the GoLo gas station on a report of a robbery. With handguns, two males demanded cash. Approximately $350 worth of cash was emptied from the register. They also reportedly stole a box of lottery tickets. The suspects escaped through an alley. Around 11:30 a.m. multiple individuals attempted to redeem the stolen lottery tickets. An individual was detained but he provided no new information.
On June 27, an armed robbery took place at the Speedway gas station located at 8202 Allisonville Rd.

- Officers were dispatched at 11:54 p.m. to Speedway gas station at 8202 Allisonville Rd. on a report of a robbery on June 27. According to court documents, a male ran into Speedway gas station along with a gun and an accomplice and stole 72 cartons of cigarettes valued at $580. No cash or property was taken.
On July 8, 2024, an armed robbery took place at the Dairy Queen situated at 3906 E 10th St.

- Officers were dispatched on July 8, to investigate a robbery at a Dairy Queen on 3906 E 10 St. Upon arrival, officers spoke with employees who said that they pointed guns and demanded money. The suspects stole $970 from Dairy Queen.
On July 9, an armed robbery occurred at the Shell gas station situated at 3801 E New York St.

- On July 9. officers were dispatched at 3 a.m. to Shell Gas at 3801 E New York St. on a report of a robbery. The four males pointed a gun at the clerk and reportedly took approximately $1,000 in cash, 1000 lottery tickets, and cigarettes.
On July 13, 2024, the Food Corner Pantry situated at 3139 Kentucky Ave fell victim to an armed robbery.

- On July 13, officers were dispatched to 3139 Kentucky Avenue on a report of an armed robbery of Food Corner Pantry. The suspects allegedly stole around $2,134.75 in cash. Witnesses at the scene were able to describe the vehicle, which was critical information in identifying the suspects at the Dollar Tree.
During the investigation, the detectives had a chance to interview the four suspects, who eventually confessed to their involvement in the series of robberies. Interestingly, witnesses revealed that the suspects frequently robbed the businesses without covering their faces.
